Leilani turned one! We had a party together with Ian, the Sunday before her actual birthday.
It was a beautiful day at the Taro Patch, not too hot, not too many mosquitoes, the guests were great and the babies were happy.
The only downside was that Andy’s camera has had some severe problems recently, and we barely have 5 usable photos of the party. So friends gave us their photos, and we are still waiting for a few more. That’s why you have not seen many photos on the blog recently. Thanks to Karla and Claus for most of the ones you see here.
Feliz Aniversario, Happy Birthday To You… Ian with his parents Karla and Claus, and us:
The ever-popular bouncy castle [Whoa, I need to tone down those colors a bit…]:
And that’s what Andy’s camera does [or maybe it’s Andy]:
Chris helping to barbeque garden- and salmon-burgers:
Ian’s family: Karla, Aunt Vanessa and Grandma Lucinda:
The gifts and the sound system:
I think Ian and Leilani had their first argument:
Lucinda cutting our all natural and almost sugarless sweet potato cake made for the babies (it was, if I may say so myself, suprisingly good… despite being dyed with spirulina and hibiscus):
Raya, and in the background Derrick, his daughter Eden and Zen:
Anna and Joshua, in the background Makanakai, Elle and Koa:
Tired Leilani at the end of the party:
Big Mahalo to Karla, Claus, Vanessa, Lucinda and Koa for the photos!
