Hail

We had a lot of hail yesterday evening. I tried to go outside to photograph it but it was incredible slippery. Leilani wanted to go outside while the strong showers were coming down to protect her strawberries and play with the hail, but I didn’t let her.

It piled up in against the garage door, and Andy had to sweep/shovel it away so it wouldn’t leak too much into the garage when it melted.

There was still a pile this morning, which I brought to her to play with and watch melt in the kitchen.

Limantour Beach with Kelby and Belen

We found the first Irises right away

A female flower cluster that should be growing into cones on a lodgepole pine… at least according to Sonja

We took a lot of breaks

Kelby, taking a rest

More irises

Leilani is practicing sand angels

Almost enough wind to fly a kite

Plover. Maybe a Snowy Plover?

Finally we reached our destination – the Seaview Lodge

Pretty Pictures and Funny Quote

Rainbow girl

Hauptsaechlich Fuer Deutschsprachige: Leilani’s Kindermund Zitat der Woche: “Die toten Pharaonen werden zu Mumien verarbeitet.

If I try to translate the quote the closest I get would be: “The dead Pharaohs are being processed into mummies” but that doesn’t sound as funny as the German version.
