Leilani picks flowers and arranges them into lovely little displays
Beautiful sunrises
Mikey can’t see, but seems to be happy most of the time
I got a new bike for my birthday. It is awesome! Thanks Andy!
Family bike ride at Kealia
Leilani fixed her own hair
Check marks by teacher in school. Red crosses and underline by Sonja. Looking more closely I didn’t even find them all…
Kanoe had fun decorating: First Leilani with stickers (regretfully, as they hurt when being pulled off…)
and later her dad as he came to pick her up, Leilani helped happily…
I read that the Lamborghini Veneo was voted the ugliest car of all times. Not believing I image-searched it. Leilani and I looked at a few pictures and decided it was untrue and the car was, matter of fact, beautiful. I few images down there was a picture of a very different looking car that caught her attention, so I googled Ferrari and then Ferrari GTO
Until then the interest had been a bit academic, like how much do they cost, that’s really pretty, is that the same model, Devon would like this… but then Leilani saw that:
Her voice change to pure delight, and as if she was taking about a kitten she said “Oh, oh, I want to have that, that is so beautiful, that is so sweet, I’d pet it all day…”
School went Ok this morning, a bit slow but OK. Since we had a late start, and needed to be done before ballet at 3 I did not let Leilani have her full lunch break, and after lunch cleanup she barely had 10 minutes to herself.
School was close to disastrous after that. Not even her beloved logic puzzles she did well. Handwriting? Awful. OK, math. Super slow. Let’s correct the grammar of the essay you have written in the morning? Nooo!!!!!!
Write the Fibonacci numbers up to 1000 then? And she did, happy, calm, up to 4181… “This is so much fun!” (actual quote)
* Sonja’s geek confession of the day. Guess what, if I can’t sleep and don’t want to turn on the lights, they calm me down too, much better than counting sheep, or doing primes….
