How good does a first grader really need to read to get a clean A? Leilani reads very well for her age I think. The demands of school an little kids are too high. She was at a small home-based school, as she (and I) did not deal well with the social pressures and bullying (or exclusions) of real school, but even there the demands are “too damn high”.
