Halloween!

The cats went into hiding when they saw our new cat…

Sonja didn’t put a lot of thought or time into this year’s costume… but Andy complemented it to be a “classic ghost” and borrowed it for late night (past 7pm) trick-or-treating

Leilani and Sonja, off to haunted yard and early trick-or-treat in the neighborhood

Leilani carved 2 melons and one pumpkin…

Later Andy and Leilani ventured into upper Wailua

Halloween at th Co-op

Leilani actually did most of her makeup herself, I just helped with the mouth and did the eyes…

Another scary thing. Don’t park within 6 feet of a driveway or you will get a ticket, at least on Kauai

October

While we were shopping at Papaya’s we tried out their charger. It worked, but it’s the slow kind…

We had a field trip to the Makauwahi Cave with the Co-op

Leilani made Halloween crafts. Watermelon instead of pumpkin cuts down on wasted food and has bright-red juice (blood-punch according to Leilani) as a bonus. The luminaries are made from jelly and pickle jars, the mummy was wrapped in pre-used cheese cloth (used for sprouting)…

Leaf!
