After the car parade followed a boat corset – in between was a beautiful 4 km hike:
The way Leilani’s hair stayed in place was remarkable, and the woman next to us really reminded me of my grandma
After 3 practice braids I felt ready to braid Leilani’s hair, not quite traditionally, but still neat and orderly.
Before the actual parade they displayed the floats, made mainly from paperwhites in Bad Aussee. Some of the floats took 100,000 or more flowers.
The bands were on display too
We started at the Gradieranlage which is a place that concentrates the “Sole” (brine) by pumping it up and evaporating it over pine twigs. Smells good and is very healthy for the lungs and entire breathing system.
