On the drive back from Wild Basin, there is a viewpoint by the side of the road. The water is actually a reservoir called Lake Austin, with a big bridge for the Capital of Texas highway.

Sonja and Leilani found a trail along a balcony above the road. Eventually, after some climbing on the other side, it reached the top.

Leilani almost always stops to pet the dogs after asking their owners if it’s OK to do it. Here she could not resist either. The lady explained the dog was too old to hike up by himself, so she put him in a backpack:

We had a 24 hour stop in Seattle on our way home from Austin.

Never mind the title. We went to the space needle :-)

Leilani really likes panoramic pictures… she took all the recently posted ones.






Leilani stood for 5 minutes and chirped and twittered (in it old fashioned sense of the word) back and forth with the bird and insisted it was a conversation. I forgot what they said.

While we were in Seattle we visited the famous Chihuly Garden Art Museum
