Like last year we spent my birthday weekend camping at Saltpond. As usual we stuff the car as full as we can – and then strap the kayak to the roof.

Raya and Jaya came to visit with their dads, and then we went out for dinner – to Bobbbies in Hanapepe, a very local place, great food although a bit on the greasy side.

Alain, Carey and Raya had just come home from Disneyland, Andy is borrowing the Rasta-Mikey hat

We let the girls ride on the carousel in front of the Hanapepe Big Save
\n<\/a><\/p>\n

What a surprise – a cake! And a real good one too!
\n<\/a><\/p>\n

“Look Leilani, there is a whale…” Andy thought I did permanent psychological damage to her by lying to her about the whale… but it made her look. By the time the photo was taken she already knew she had been tricked and frowned
