Oh, and while I am talking about Hawaiian things… – Why is it “Da” Baby Blog? “Da” is one of 2 words that do not exist in English nor German, but in Pidgin (local hawaiian slang) and in Styrian (my home county’s slang) it means the same thing – “The” or “Der”. It is one of only two words like that, the other one being Auwe \/ Auweh being an expression of pain or sorrow. Auwe also exists in the original Hawaiian language.<\/p>\n
Eigentlich wollte ich nicht mehr Deutsch schreiben… aber dies ist die Erklaerung warum es “Da” Baby Blog ist. Der Mangel an Fragen aus dem Deutsch sprachigen Raum liegt wahrscheinlich daran das alle wissen das “Da” – “Der” heisst – aber nicht nur auf Steirisch, auch auf Pidgin Englisch, dem lokalen Dialekt. Das Wort existiert weder auf Hochdeutsch, noch in der Englischen Sprache. Ich weiss nur von einem anderen aehnlichen Wort (das vielleicht auch hochdeutsch ist) und das ist Auwe \/ Auweh, Auwe ist ein original Hawaiianisches Wort, mit exakt der gleichen Bedeutung wie Auweh, und ist mit sehr aehnlicher Bedeutung in Pidgin uebernommen worden<\/font> Shakespeare’s version:<\/p>\n Orsino, Duke of Illyria: “O, she that hath a heart of that fine frame.
