It is in Round Rock, a suburb just north of Austin.<\/p>\n<p>She really enjoyed the 2 million lights along the 1.5-mile <del datetime=\"2013-12-29T15:49:04+00:00\">path<\/del> drive through the Old Settlers Park, and so did the adults. I even enjoyed playing with the photos afterwards and over-edited some of them&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>There are several themes through the tour. First, Christmas decorations (ornaments and light bulbs have become symbols of Christmas decorations themselves):<br \/>\n<img src='http:\/\/simplify-your-life.com\/blog\/images2\/9\/1\/131228-rr-tol-01.jpg' alt=\"\" height=\"450\" width=\"600\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Then an illustrated version of the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/A_Visit_From_St._Nicholas\" target=\"_blank\">famous poem<\/a>, the one that created the modern image of Santa Claus:<br \/>\n<img src='http:\/\/simplify-your-life.com\/blog\/images2\/9\/1\/131228-rr-tol-02.jpg' alt=\"\" height=\"450\" width=\"600\"\/><br \/>\n<img src='http:\/\/simplify-your-life.com\/blog\/images2\/9\/1\/131228-rr-tol-03.jpg' alt=\"\" height=\"450\" width=\"600\"\/><br \/>\n<img src='http:\/\/simplify-your-life.com\/blog\/images2\/9\/1\/131228-rr-tol-04.jpg' alt=\"\" height=\"450\" width=\"600\"\/><\/p>\n<p>A winter scene; Leilani liked the fox but Andy didn&#8217;t get a good picture of it:<br \/>\n<img src='http:\/\/simplify-your-life.com\/blog\/images2\/9\/1\/131228-rr-tol-05.jpg' alt=\"\" height=\"450\" width=\"600\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Then a trip to the North Pole to see Santa&#8217;s elves and their toy workshops:<br \/>\n<img src='http:\/\/simplify-your-life.com\/blog\/images2\/9\/1\/131228-rr-tol-06.jpg' alt=\"\" height=\"450\" width=\"600\"\/><br \/>\n<img src='http:\/\/simplify-your-life.com\/blog\/images2\/9\/1\/131228-rr-tol-07.jpg' alt=\"\" height=\"450\" width=\"600\"\/><br \/>\n<img src='http:\/\/simplify-your-life.com\/blog\/images2\/9\/1\/131228-rr-tol-08.jpg' alt=\"\" height=\"450\" width=\"600\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Most people&#8217;s favorite displays were the Poinsettias:<br \/>\n<img src='http:\/\/simplify-your-life.com\/blog\/images2\/9\/1\/131228-rr-tol-09.jpg' alt=\"\" height=\"450\" width=\"600\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The tunnel of lights was impressive, it felt like driving a space-ship through space in a movie. &#8220;Warp factor 7, Mr. Sulu:&#8221;<br \/>\n<img src='http:\/\/simplify-your-life.com\/blog\/images2\/9\/1\/131228-rr-tol-10.jpg' alt=\"\" height=\"450\" width=\"600\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Last came the nativity (and Hannukah and <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kwanzaa\" target=\"_blank\">Kwanzaa<\/a>) display:<br \/>\n<img src='http:\/\/simplify-your-life.com\/blog\/images2\/9\/1\/131228-rr-tol-11.jpg' alt=\"\" height=\"450\" width=\"600\"\/><\/p>\n<p>On our way home, we drove through downtown Round Rock to see their decorated water tower, symbol of the city.<br \/>\n<img src='http:\/\/simplify-your-life.com\/blog\/images2\/9\/1\/131228-rr-tol-12.jpg' alt=\"\" height=\"600\" width=\"450\"\/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After a lot of bad attidude today in the morning Leilani was on probation the entire day, and behaved well enough to earn back the Christmas lights tour.
