And just because last years Christmas recital was nice too…
We had a Christmas party on the 21st at home before traveling to Sedona. And did not manage to take a single family portrait in front of our beautiful tree. AT least we got a lot of dog photos…
And tree photos

And one Leilani photo

Actually these are tree photos. Never mind the dogs.

But here it starts. Leilani had wanted to make gifts for the dogs the previous 2 Christmases and on several other occasions, and on her birthday she received a lot of little dog-treat bags and appropriate wrapping paper. Anyway… they were rewrapped and presented to the dogs who unwrapped them with great delight and ate some of them at the spot.

I did not write or make Christmas cards this year, but Leilani and I decorated Andy’s gift

Christmas Decorations at the County Building

We have a few of these photos already, but by now the “elf” barely fits…

The new displays

Almost all decorations are made from recycled materials, and next year Leilani and I are planning to participate in some of the volunteer events when they make the new decorations.

We have a few of these photos already too.

The park in front of the county building is done up nicely too…

A mile down rice street is the decorated Sailing Club at the Small Boat Harbor at Nawiliwili

And decorated sailboats too…

While I was still at Standing Rock we planned Defund DAPL – we’d try to get Banks and institutions that financed the pipeline to withdraw their funds. I wrote some letters and emails and staged a little protest in front of our First Hawaiian Bank.
Sign-painting before the event

During our protest over 16 thousand dollars were withdrawn, and at least 6 letters were given to the branch manager, most addressed to the CEO
