After 3 practice braids I felt ready to braid Leilani’s hair, not quite traditionally, but still neat and orderly.
Before the actual parade they displayed the floats, made mainly from paperwhites in Bad Aussee. Some of the floats took 100,000 or more flowers.
The bands were on display too
We started at the Gradieranlage which is a place that concentrates the “Sole” (brine) by pumping it up and evaporating it over pine twigs. Smells good and is very healthy for the lungs and entire breathing system.
I realized I barely took photos, but I filmed a lot… I hope I’ll publish the video soon
When we had enough of the crowds we went to the Grimming Therme indoor pool
Bad Aussee again, but the next day
We saw 2 people hiking by the Alpengarten carrying buckets – we assumed they were off to pick paperwhites, and I asked if we could join them. We helped them first, and then Leilani picked a bouquet for us.
