Leilani let Oliver have the camera, and he took photos of her:
Month: September 2011
Thursday Leilani went to the Fair with Laura, and when we picked her up we stayed a few minutes:
Friday I took the 2 girls again:
The crowds were unbelievable – I had never seen Hanalei that busy
Julian had talked us into participating just the previous night – without much of a plan we started:
When it looked a bit plain we started dribbling it with sand and water, we thought it looked really cool.
Many children stopped to tell us they thought we had made the best castle on the beach.
Finishing touches
Unfortunately most adults either thought it was creepy or overlooked it completely… To us it was beautiful.
Leilani built her own minicastle
I was very proud of the moat, and it can’t be seen on any other photo
The competition made great things too:
but many more and better photos of these are on this facebook page
Our friend Julian was one of the organizers
Eventually the crowds went home
I think this is one of the most interesting photos, I wonder it it’s random, or if Leilani saw it before she photographed…
I asked how she took this photo, but she couldn’t remember. She thinks she held it with her knee or elbow and pressed the button with the nose
Well, I suppose additionally to the feet pics we now have hand photos….
Oliver
I wanted to delete this photo. Leilani yelled: “No mommy, don’t you see the rain, how it rains on the plants and on Nounou?”
same without the rain
One more bunch of bananas, coming up
Leilani rescued a few weeds that I pulled and they are her pet-plants now.
Leilani still takes photos of her feet:
