A new milestone: Leilani can read while she is eating. While that in itself is not a very desirable goal, it proves the point that she does not need to mouth the words she is reading anymore.
At the moment she is reading pretty simple, German texts, but I’m sure English and regular texts are soon to follow.

We made cool leaf-print eggs that we dyed with cabbage juice (and we tried with beet juice too).
The leaves on the blue ones are a fern, and a lavender hybrid, the botched pink one has a cranberry hibiscus leaf (really)

April, April,… today it stormed in the early morning that the windows rattled, then was beautiful sunny and warm, very convenient for the Easter egg hunt, then, after Leilani was done looking for nests it got grey, rained, and when it was done raining the temperature dropped into the mid-60s (sehr unhawaiianisch unter 20 Grad Celsius)

We still have a few autograph leaves. Coming to think I probably never posted the other pictures of the previous ones…

Our Prince Kuhui Vine is still blooming

Leilani went to a Lei making class (Lei-Leilani)

And they look good on Andy too.

We used the new pressure cooker to make Surinam Cherry Preserve and Juice

Spot the difference :-)
