Pretty Pictures and Funny Quote

Rainbow girl

Hauptsaechlich Fuer Deutschsprachige: Leilani’s Kindermund Zitat der Woche: “Die toten Pharaonen werden zu Mumien verarbeitet.

If I try to translate the quote the closest I get would be: “The dead Pharaohs are being processed into mummies” but that doesn’t sound as funny as the German version.

Valentine’s Day Crafts at MNS

Valentine’s Crafts:

For once I got a good photo of her friend Mariana

Leilani and Narnia were painting together.

Beautiful Springday at MNS

I took 300 photos that day. Mostly for Teacher Liselle, so I got a few really good photos of other kids, but of course there were a lot of Leilani photos among them.

Spring on San Bruno Mountain

I hope I didn’t use this title last year… Sunday morning we hiked on San Bruno Mountain

Is that called cross-stretching?

And now the flowers: Actually the first one is more a bumblebee photo, but it still contains a flower, an iceplant, which is an invasive weed if it’s not planted, like in this spot, right next to the trailhead. Leilani found the unhappy bumblebee crawling frantically in the parkinglot and we picked it up and carried it over to the flowers. It became much happier and started eating right away.

With the move 6 weeks away my desire to ID plants is waning. Creamecolored flower.

Eucalyprus. Leilani thinks it looks like a bearded fairy with a long nose.

Not a flower.

Lupine

Mallow and Poppy

Pink Flower

Do you like my camera?

Radish flowers. Because they look so much like mustard flowers Leilani called them mayonnaise flowers…

Playdates and Cherry Trees

Leilani visited Olivia, they even had a sleepover

The so-called cherry tree in front of a neighbor’s house is in full bloom. I’d think it’s a plum, but I won’t argue… it’s very beautiful in any case.

Mommy this mushroom from Leilani. She found it in the yard, studied it, drew it from all sides… At Albion I had thought she was just playing, picking and eating the mushrooms and didn’t pay any attention to all the scientific part of the foray, but obviously she did…
