Month: June 2011
Leilani got a new game. You have to stack wooden animals, and try to avoid to knock it down. It’s a lot of fun. Here we played it with grandma.

I’m taking a class at KCC in sustainable gardening and farming, and I have to put in 4 work hours a week at select Kauai farms and gardens

The Ti-Berries are in our own yard – just didn’t know where else to put the photo…

Island School puts up a great performance for Mayday

The Kindergarteners did the Taro Patch Twist. I hope to be posting a video one of these days…

What do these have in common? In the old days they would have been on the same roll of film… 9 days worth of photos:
We found an injured Sheawater at Kealia. The wing was broken, but the bird was tame and so trusting. After we had him at home for a day or so we turned him over to the Save the Sheawaters people, who thought he’d never fly again. Leilani and I cried a lot when we heard they hed to put him down.

Happier bird pictures

Oh, so herzig. (sorry that’s German and does not translate)

Leilani was asked to draw a picture of herself having a bad attitude in art class. The text says: Oh, I want this dress, Mommy can I please have one of (continues on the other side of Leilani at the bottom) the dresses? I answer: “No Leilani, for your Birthday Leilani”

On May 1st we went to the Arboretum with Jaya, Leela and their parents

I gave up schedules and todo lists. But now Leilani starts them.
