Andy and Leilani spent a week in Ohio a few months ago, I think I never got around to posting the video. Andy promised to do the photos soon
Month: October 2011
A few weeks after we arrived the orchids began to bloom, and have not stopped since
Royal Poinsiana
When we moved in there was a small wild avocado tree. Experienced gardeners told me to cut it down and plant a “good one” in it’s place. They said wild avos never have big fruit, but big seeds, and sometimes are bitter. The tree was so pretty and I couldn’t cut it down… While we were in CA we already saw it had big and good fruits, but this year it has (had) about 200 avocados, they are still not ripe, but I keep picking them, and after about 10 days they ripen, we eat at least one a day, and can’t wait for the tree-ripened ones. Oh, and I weighed a few that I picked… none under 300g some were close to a pound!
Plumeria
Bananas coming up soon…
I think it’s a collard green. I got it as a cabbage and it took me a long time to realize it would never make a head…
Croutons
Prince Kuhio Vines now cover front and back fence
And we all love our lime tree
I took Andy and Leilani’s photo
…while Leilani photographed their shadow
Andy made a pipe cleaner flower thirty some years before Leilani
Leilani and friends painted these mermaids and Leilani arranged them and took the photo
End of August we went to visit Julia and her family at a cabin in Kokee
Julia’s friend Kaitlin and her dad Alan were there as well
Dinner at Genki Sushi on our way home
On August 11th Leilani and I hiked Nounou. Before breakfast…
We called Andy when we were at the rocks and he zoomed in… look closely
Andy and I went on a date, kayaking in the harbor.
Leilani took swimming lessons
Dwarf Coconuts in Moloa’a
School Bus. Funny to post that now…
Leilani had a pretty bad accident and had to be glued in the emergency room. Julia was nice enough to wait with us.
One forgotten fair photo
