That was not on my birthday…

The radio was playing “Hotel California” by the Eagles.
I explained that that was a hit, when I was about her age.
Leilani listened for a while and then said: “I can’t believe they already had electric guitars back then.”

Leilani wrote a poem:
When the Cherry Tree Blooms:
When the cherry tree blooms
I climb it very often
To see if the cherries have come back
When I see the first cherry
I am reassured
that winter is finally gone
birds sing, leaves rustle
and especially cherries are coming.
