The outstretched left arm means she is taking a self portrait. And the rings under her eyes usually mean she is sick, tired or had petrochemicals (foodcoloring) to eat. And the floor is always that dirty (or worse).

Leilani drew lots of pictures of Stitch the alien, and put them up in every room of the house. I’m not sure what motivated this, maybe she wanted to imagine him at her house. We made her take them down after a while, but before she did she photographed most of them.

I have a lot of flowers and herbs on the deck. And I am proud to say, they get watered almost exclusively with rinsing, pipe flushing or (bubble)bath water… We hope that the yard guy that our landlord fired stays away, then I’ll put some flowers into the ground too. (Last time he came he mowed all my flowers, Leilani’s kiddie pool (really, 2 holes I could get both of my hands through) and I caught him when he took down the yellow caution tape that protected the new lawn… the time he came before that he killed all my poppies. Twice. But the potherbs grow nicely, safe on the deck.
Well, that’s not Leilani’s art. But it wouldn’t make a good blogpost by itself..
